Above: About the most exciting colour displayed on a Falcon on the day, this XR8 with it's new design body kit reminded me of a particular 55' Chevy called "Cheese Whiz" of Boyd-Coddington fame!!

The photos on this page represent Ford's choice of display models for it's 2007 Sydney Motor Show, a final effort for the BF (if you could really call it an effort).  There were no others except the Cobra - previously covered.

With the whole car's theme based primarily around orange and black, even the standard XR8's engine bay looked far better than it usually does!  Almost as if somebody had designed it that way...

Below was the ONLY Falcon ute on show at the Sydney Motor Show.  As great as silver usually looks on the streets, it was our feeling that it was way too dull for such an attention grabbing application.  Notice I had no problems with shadows of people crowding around this particular car...

Above: Despite my previous comments, the colour did come 'alive' in this position...and yes!  Somebody actually decided to have a sit-in...  This has still gotta be a meaner look than any VE could offer!

Above: Yep - the end of that.  The next time we see the Falcon displayed at any Motor Show around the country we should be slapping eyes on what comes next - code named 'Orion'.  With Ford's past efforts, expect the ute to be available at much the same time as the sedan...

Above: BF II Fairmont Ghia looked as good as ever - although once again, who on earth chose the colour?  Not that it's a bad colour, just not what you'd expect on a car that needs to make an impact on a Motor Show stand...

Above:  Although not as popular as the Cobra, the Fairmont Ghia wasn't left alone for too long.  And with looks this good, it didn't take much to figure out why...hmmm, chrome!  Lovely...

Above:  Only a few people noticed it, but the earth did tilt for a millisecond while we were at the Sydney Motor Show and we were there to catch it on film!  Errr - flash card...  Still, with the car looking this good how could we help but show it here?

Above:   The BF II makes use of the Fairlane's piano-black interior trimmings, about the only good thing to come of Ford's recent decision to axe it's LWB luxury offering...  But with leather seats and looking as good as this, who could refuse?

Above:  A fitting final look at what has to be the best equipped, best looking standard Fairmont Ghia to date.  What will Ford bring out next?

Above:
Last (but definitely not least) is this BF Typhoon in white - who the HECK chose white?  I mean, is this the ultimate camouflage or what?  I don't know how many people actually looked at this car sitting next to the Cobra - or even knew it was there.  Needs stripes...needs something!

Above: Looking as awesome as always - although the white engine bay did nothing for it.  This is the amazing 4.0L DOHC 270kW & 550Nm sweet six that Ford is about to ditch to keep Tom Gorman & his American mates in a job...grrrr!

Above: A parting shot of what should have been a great looking car (and in many ways still was) but just blended into obscurity due to somebody's dedication to white...fellas, don't do it again, okay?
