Trueblueford VISION STATEMENT:
|
TRUEBLUEFORD is an independent, Online Enthusiast's Information Resource & Live Forum given to the appreciation & enjoyment of Ford products. Historically we have covered mainly the Falcon, Fairlane & LTD - however desire exists to expand even further than this and we are constantly looking for partners willing to assist in developing the website into those areas. Ford clubs take note! TBF has came to be known right across the 'net for the quality of it's information & images, being referred to on a multitude of other forums & search engines.
TRUEBLUEFORD aims to provide a family friendly atmosphere, open and inviting to all ages. Unfortunately, the number of forums on the internet where swearing, profanity & flaming goes on a regular basis is increasing every day. TBF has prided itself from the beginning in ensuring this does not become part of the culture here or on our forums, and is unique in doing so across similarly offered forums.
TRUEBLUEFORD has NO direct connection to Ford Motor Company or any of it's subsidiaries. The use of the word 'ford' in trueblueford.com's URL is purely in acknowledgement of the source of our inspiration and focus of our enthusiasm, and does NOT convey in any way, shape or form any connection to or endorsement by Ford - whether by ownership or franchise. As such, TBF takes pride in being able to review Ford's products without any pressure to provide "cash for comments" or other similar pressure. Subsequently, if Ford's product is good - we will say so. But if the competition's product is better in one area - we won't hold back in saying that either, believing that honesty helps endear a level of trust in our ability to review & hopefully proving valuable feedback resulting in improvement to the product in years to come! Having said all of that, we are undeniably Ford fans and do allow ourselves a bit of bias - but at least we are honest in admitting so... TBF has for the majority of it's existence been entirely not-for-profit, staffed only by volunteers. HOWEVER, TBF is currently seeking sponsors to allow it to expand at a sharply increasing rate, and has taken on a new look to signify this with the site being transformed one page at a time to reflect this move. To expand the site has been our aim from the beginning - with the dream finally coming to fruition necessitating the change from a hobby to part-professional as of the middle of 2007.
TRUEBLUEFORD aims to provide a mix of accurate, unique information (i.e. not just a copy of what somebody else has offered on the internet) INCLUDING:
TRUEBLUEFORD sees the 'technical' documents presented on this site as having a number of distinct purposes:
We believe, in as much as there are many who look at these documents and decide to follow the DIY route, there are also another quite large group who look - and learn to appreciate more fully why they are paying their hard-earned to the mechanic or similar tradesperson, making them happier to spend the money in the first place!
TRUEBLUEFORD - a quick history: TBF began in 2000 with a dream by founder, Doug Bevan - working together with Anthony Robinson to start putting together the most comprehensive AU1 Falcon information resource on the internet with the intention of covering every Falcon, Fairlane & LTD produced in Australia in similar detail. This spread to the EL, then EF and rested there for a number of years. During that time, Andrew Robilliard came on board taking the helm improving the Forum working with Pete Bailey working on the graphics taking it to much of what you see today, until circumstances prevented Andrew from continuing in his previously busy role. During that time we came to know Shane Arnold, who has also proven to be a pillar of strength as far as the site has been concerned, with his vast technical knowledge and enthusiasm that has seen him flourish taking on the role of site admin being willing to put his hand to what-ever needs doing, helping fill in for Andrew's absence right at the nick of time. Recently, circumstances have changed dramatically again for Doug, allowing much more emphasis on things here on the site, with Doug returning to active full-time status & the ED being added to the ranks as a result with much more to come over the coming months. In this time, the enthusiasm of Pete & Shane have also gone from strength to strength enabling what you see today to be possible - a great team effort. As such, the original dream has not abated one little bit, with seven years of experience to draw on trueblueford is currently being transformed to work it's way back through the Falcon models like never before, attracting interest from right across the net in a way that should only continue to grow.
Pages such as the one you came from include up to 12 individually placed banner ad locations, with a variety of package choices to suit most budgets. This is done to enable the site to go forward, moving toward the goal of covering as many models as possible in the detail befitting of them.
