- Some people get all the breaks don't they? - After all, how much more inspiration do you need to gain your license than having this silver bullet tucked away for when Phil got his big ticket. Sensibly, for his first car Phil hasn't gone overboard and has kept the mods to this 97' Fairmont Ghia to a minimum - no doubt out of respect for his insurance premiums...but considering the EL Ghia already has the XR6 motor, there's power aplenty anyway!
Proving once again just how little needs to be done to these big Fords these photos show Phil's EL in all it's liquid silver (check silver name) glory and a whole lot closer to mother earth thanks to a 3" dump all round. Motivator headers followed by a 2 1/2" system and 3 1/2" tip give it just enough burble to be noticed while 17" Speedy Ravens do wonders in the looks department with Ultra HPR 235/45/17's keeping everything nicely in control. Fortunately Phil's Ghia came factory equipped with it's optional rear spoiler saving Phil some much needed dough on getting the look right.
Well, we're impressed (especially for a first car!) and we wish Phil all the best with many great motoring adventures to come...
