Sent in by reader, David.  Well - he sure got our interest!  And since he tells it best, I'll let him do the talking...

"Here is a photo you may be interested in.  It is a government Comcar at a driver training course in Canberra.  It launched off the rise at 100kph and jumped about 30 metres.  When it landed everything hit the deck, gouging the asphalt quite badly.  It's nice to see the people driving our politicians around are trained for this in case they get chased through Hazzard County by Bo and Luke Duke.

I took the photo in 1994 at the Sutton Road Training Complex in Canberra.  My father was a Comcar driver for 30yrs so I went to a few of these courses where I saw some interesting things done with various cars.  The photo was taken on a section of the course where there were two rises close together, one lower than the other, going into a dry causeway.  I was lying just off the road in the causeway and as he got close he signalled me and I took the photo (on an instamatic!).  The car landed right next to me about 5 metres away (scared the shit out of me!).  There was no apparent damage to the car (these cars get washed and auctioned afterwards).  The car was still on the rise when i took the photo, and got about 6 metres off the ground.  Great site, keep it up - David.

Thanks mate - we appreciated it as we know our readers will - and a nicely taken shot too.  Just shows what you can achieve with the wrong camera in the right place at the right time!
