Here's a EL Falcon with a difference - a Fairmont Ghia with the works! And when you consider that it convinced "Cragar" to sell his awesome XD street machine, you know it has to be something special. This EL Fairmont Ghia came from the factory with the 5.0 litre V8 already resting between the chassis rails - but a quick trip down the SVO route courtesy of Southside Ford has seen the standard 165kw rocket up to a more respectable 215kw! Or enough to keep "Cragar" interested that is.

The body kit also comes courtesy of the SVO treatment and is very similiar to Ford's own at the time. (note: the use of the letters 'SVO' here has nothing unfortunately to do with the EA Falcon versions of the same name). Despite this, it carries it's own set of tags authenticating it's ancestory and adding to it's value. Southside Ford sold two versions of it's hotter Henries - the 195kw version and Cragar's more powerful but more expensive 215kw version.
The blue XD is Cragar's previous ride and equally impressive - wearing it's LTD grill, lights, bumper, dash and front guards. (can you guess where Cragar got his nickname from? If you can't then I'm not telling you what sort of wheels they were!) Makes you wish he could have hung onto them both. Good one Cragar - and thanks for sharing your pride and joy with us! So what's next in the house of Cragar? I guess we'll just have to wait and see...
