Andrew's EL Falcon GLi
'Sapphire':

Budding photographers take note - low light
situations do wonders for white cars!
Every now and then a Visitor's Car gets sent in that makes you sit back and say 'wow'. Quite often it's not the type of car or even mechanical package that gets you - some times it's the most un-assuming car made all the more unbelievable by the simplicity and elegance of it's package. Hence is the way of this 97' EL GLi 'Sapphire' sent in by avid Ford fan Andrew.

When a car looks this good with so few mods, the
original design can't have been too far off
of the mark in the first place...
Picked up in spotless condition with low k's, it didn't take Andrew long to begin personalizing his ride beginning with a 3" drop in altitude courtesy of a set of Kings Springs and gas 'comfort' shocks. Keeping it all firmly in contact with terra firma are a set of EL GT 17" rims wrapped in Falken tyres - a combination that's hard to beat when it comes to gaining a wicked look to that e-series.

A set of Pacemaker headers take care of the unwanted gases leading into a 2.5" Redback exhaust with "nice big chrome tip" just finishing things off nicely. Feeding the beast a diet of nice cold air is a SS Inductions enlargened air scoop feeding into a K & N high-flow air filter - keeping that alternator spinning along nicely enough to keep the new head unit and 12" sub / Kenwood 6 x 9's thumping along perfectly.

Despite it's undeniably sweet stance, all that hasn't been enough to satisfy young Andrew who is now looking for ways to take his ride even further with a alternative body kit soon to join it's list of mods - so keep any eye on this space...
