Rear shot of James Phillip's AU2 XR8 at Sandown in 2000 wearing it's war stripes as well as the new optional 17" wheels available from Ford.  As close to production racing as you're gunna get (see the interview with Class D Championship winner Daryl Coon for more details about this exciting category) GTP represents a more accurate view of what the associated Factories produce.  James managed to get up and win the weekend for Ford and the XR8 in the Aussie V8 catagory, with Daryl Coon coming in with the both races in Class D (six cylinder) and the 2000 Championship.  With the XR8s winning in the V8 Supercars as well, this made for quite a good weekend - go Ford!
